🔬 Research Focus: ELISA Lab

I focus my academic research in the ELectrified and Intelligent Systems Automation (ELISA) Lab under Dr. Jun Chen.

Core Areas of Focus

  • AI-Assisted Control & Model Predictive Control (MPC): Bridging classical control theory with real-time neural network optimization.
  • Deep Reinforcement Learning (RL) for Autonomous Systems: Training agents for vehicle dynamics, active suspension, and motor control.
  • Embedded AI & Real-Time Firmware: Deploying low-latency inference models directly onto microcontrollers (RP2350, STM32, RTOS).

In top-tier EECS & Mechatronics PhD programs, research output > raw GPA.

  1. Publication Output: Aiming for 1+ peer-reviewed conference paper (ICRA / IROS / IEEE CASE).
  2. Open-Source Artifacts: Every control algorithm and firmware harness is open-sourced under Pyintel.
  3. Lab Mentorship & Hardware Validation: Validating theoretical control models on physical testbeds (custom PCBs, motorized rigs) rather than pure simulation.
