Hi. I’m Ritesh. 👋
I’m an 18-year-old mechatronics & robotics engineering student who is mildly obsessed with three things:
- Making physical things think.
- Custom cars.
- Not selling my time for money.
I was born in India, raised on Kannada and curiosity, and currently operate out of a quiet apartment in Rochester Hills, Michigan—where my desk looks like a tiny warzone between an Oscilloscope, a Raspberry Pi, and half a half-soldered PCB.
🤖 What I’m Building
I build things at the intersection of hardware and AI, mostly under an umbrella brand I call Pyintel. Right now, that includes:
- Athera Motion Core — A custom RP2350 development board designed for automotive/robotics control. It has CAN-FD, quadrature encoders, four high-current MOSFET channels, and an EEPROM that tells the host system “hey, I’m a motor controller, not a toaster” via an auto-discovery protocol I designed.
- Apex Arc — A firmware/harness ecosystem so microcontroller boards can identify themselves to a host operating system without manual configuration. Plug-and-play, but for robots.
- agent-tools — A standalone CLI + MCP server that bundles all my personal productivity tools (PDF manipulation, media conversion, GitHub repo management) into one 124MB executable. Because installing python scripts every time is for people with more free time than me.
- 9Router — An AI infrastructure gateway that lets me route requests across multiple LLM providers and monitor usage/key burn in one place.
I also publish my open notes & code on GitHub, because I believe the best kind of leverage is permissionless leverage — code and media that earn while you sleep.
🎓 The Plan
I’m currently studying at Oakland University for a BSE in Mechatronics Engineering (target: Fall 2029). After that, I’m aiming for an MIT EECS PhD (entry ~2030).
I’m an active undergraduate research assistant in the ELISA Lab at OU, working under Dr. Jun Chen on AI-assisted control, model predictive control, deep reinforcement learning, and autonomous driving.
I’m not trying to just get a job. I’m trying to build specific knowledge — the kind that sits at the intersection of microcontrollers, custom cars, and embedded AI, where no one can compete with me on being me.
💡 What This Blog Is
This website is my digital garden — a public, living record of what I’m learning and building. It’s not a polished portfolio. It’s the raw, evolving notes I’d write anyway, published openly because:
- Writing publicly forces me to actually understand things (the Feynman technique on main).
- It builds that “media leverage” I mentioned — a public track record that compounds over years.
- Maybe you’ll find one of my rants about Kalman filters or automotive CAN bus hijinks useful.
Some posts will be deep technical write-ups. Some will be half-baked 2 AM thoughts about wealth philosophy. Some will just be a list of what I broke in lab that week. 🤷
